Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey tasting notes
Batch 89
Nose: Caramel, graham cracker, vanilla, apple-butter, oak.
Palate, straight: Caramel, vanilla cream soda, mulled apple; flows smoothly over the tongue then lightly dissipates with a dry, cinnamon-sugar edge. The whiskey finishes with a hint of mint, cayenne, oak & leather.
Palate, diluted: Honey, vanilla- cream & caramel, mulled fruit, with a light cinnamon-oak finish.
Notes: An excellent pour! Really defines the term ‘sippin’ whiskey’. Take it neat, or to challenge the summer heat, add a couple o’ cubes of ice to chill it down a bit. Don’t worry, we make it 94 proof for a reason-you’re only going to add to the flavor by adding a few rocks. Enjoy!
Toast for Batch 89:
‘Always carry a flagon of whiskey in case of snakebite and furthermore, always carry a small snake. ‘
